Plate Heat Exchanger---Iron Stents

Plate heat exchanger is the ideal equipment that liquid-liquid and liquid-gas to change heat. In the same pressure loss situation, the heat transfer coefficient is 3 to 5 times higher than pipe heat exchanger. And its covering area is about a third of the pipe heat exchanger, heat recovery rate can up to 90%.

Classification of Plate Heat Exchanger

1. according to the pads materials: it can be divided into butadiene acrylonitrile rubber (NBR), EPDM, fluorine rubber (TP)

2. according to the piece area, there are 0.15㎡, 0.24 ㎡, 0.65 ㎡, 0.85 ㎡, 1.54 ㎡ and 1.8 ㎡

3. according to the stent material，there are iron stents and stainless steel support

Usages of Plate Heat Exchanger

Widely used in Marine industry, chemical industry, medicine, food, chemical fiber, paper making, and other departments.

Structure of Plate Heat Exchanger

Plate heat exchanger is formed by the fixed paddles, the plate, mobile baffle, pole, up and under guider and retaining bolt. Between the fixed paddles and mobile baffle, there is a series of fixed plate. Every piece of plate is with gasket, so a parallel closing port is formed, medium alternately flows in every two pieces of plates.

Characteristics of Plate Heat Exchanger

1. compact structure: plates are closely arranged, compared with other types of heat exchanger, plate heat exchanger has less covering area and space, the area is only 1/5 of the tubular heat exchanger.

2. easy clean and convenient disassembling: plate heat exchanger fixes the plates by clamping bolts, thus making disassembling convenient, can open to clean any time. The bright board face makes high turbulent degree, so it is not easy to scale.
